Writing is one of the oldest forms of self-expression. Long before podcasts, videos, and social media, there were journals, letters, testimonies, poems, stories, prayers, and reflections. The Writer’s Department was created to provide women with that old-fashioned space— a place to think deeply, create freely, and put words to experiences that may otherwise go unspoken. Throughout your journey within The Official Department of Baddie Education, you may encounter writing prompts, scripture studies, reflection exercises, creative assignments, and opportunities to share your thoughts with the community. Whether you’re writing a letter to Heaven, documenting a testimony, answering a difficult question, exploring an idea, or simply organizing your thoughts, this department exists to help you develop your voice, strengthen your creativity, and express yourself freely. Outstanding works may be featured within community spotlights, newsletters, and other official Department publications.

What You’ll Learn

The Writer’s Department offers lessons and educational resources designed to help members become stronger, more confident writers. Topics may include: Creative writing techniques; Storytelling and narrative development; Poetry and spoken word writing; Journaling and reflective writing; Grammar, punctuation, and sentence structure; Finding and developing your writing voice; Character and world-building basics; Writing for healing and self-discovery; Writing prompts and creative exercises; Organizing ideas and overcoming writer’s block; Testimony and memoir writing; Publishing and presentation opportunities.

Community Activities

Members may have opportunities to participate in: Journal prompt challenges; Poetry contests; Writing competitions; Community features and spotlights; Collaborative writing projects; Seasonal writing challenges; Featured submissions in MLOGS and newsletters; Creative assignments and special publications.

WRITER’S OUTLET

Writer’s Outlet is a feature within the Writing Department that gives members the opportunity to write freely through a dedicated email thread. Whether you’re documenting a testimony, sharing a personal experience, writing a poem, asking difficult questions, reflecting on life, or simply organizing your thoughts, Writer’s Outlet exists to provide a private space for expression, creativity, and self-discovery. Getting Started To begin, select any area marked BWS to create a writing thread between you and the Writing Division of Baddie University. Your legal name must appear within the heading of every submission as confirmation that the information provided is accurate and belongs to you. Your heading must also include the date and topic of your submission. Once your thread has been established, all future works should be submitted within the same thread. Creating multiple threads may result in administrative delays or previously submitted works becoming ineligible for review, publication, or feature opportunities. If your email address changes or any issue arises concerning your Writer’s Outlet account, please contact us before creating a new thread. Ownership & Authenticity All submissions must be your original work. By participating in Writer’s Outlet, you affirm that the information provided is truthful to the best of your knowledge and that all submitted content belongs to you. Privacy & Confidentiality Your works are treated with the same level of privacy generally expected between two parties communicating through email. However, no digital platform can guarantee complete protection against third-party breaches, unauthorized access, or security incidents.
