Photography teaches us to slow down, notice the details, and appreciate the beauty that often goes unseen. It is more than a hobby; it is documentation, storytelling, and history in the making. What You’ll Learn

the visual storytelling division provides educational resources for women at every level, from complete beginners to experienced photographers. Topics may include: Camera settings and fundamentals; Understanding lighting; Composition and framing; Portrait photography; Travel photography; Mobile photography; Editing and post-production; Color theory; Visual storytelling; Content creation; Photography business basics; Building a professional portfolio. Whether your goal is artistic expression, personal documentation, or professional development, the visual storytelling division is designed to help you grow your skills with confidence, including Camera education and tutorials, Mobile photography techniques, Camera settings and equipment guides, Composition and framing lessons.

Community Challenges

ONE OF the core experiences within the visual storytelling division is participation. Members are encouraged to explore their surroundings and view the world through a creative lens by participating in community-wide photography challenges. Challenges may include: Color Hunting; Christmas Tree Hunting; Best View From Your Hometown; Hidden Gems; etc. Through these assignments, members learn that beautiful photographs are not reserved for extraordinary destinations—they exist all around us.

The Self-Portrait Project

One of the most important lessons taught within Photography is this: Take the picture. Take the picture before the weight loss, the promotion, before the engagement, and before everything changes. Too many women wait to document themselves until they become a future version of who they hope to be. Photography encourages women to document who they are right now. The current, growing and becoming version OF YOURSELF; these photographs will become some of your most treasured possessions.

Collaboration & Opportunities

Photography creates opportunities for women on both sides of the camera. Photographers may participate in: Portfolio-building projects; Styled shoots; Fashion photography; Travel photography assignments; Community events; Creative collaborations; Seasonal campaigns; Networking opportunities; Educational workshops; Exhibition opportunities. Women who enjoy being photographed may also participate in projects, photoshoots, campaigns, and creative experiences that allow them to celebrate and document different seasons of their lives.
